Cause like sure for local journeys one train being delayed or canceled doesn't matter, you can just get the next one or try some other means of transportation.

But if you're doing a longer journey, one cancelation or delay can be the difference between making to your destination in one day or in two, which brings all kind of havoc with hotel reservations and whatnot.

And umm today I managed to experience multiple cancelations and delays across several operators and countries, and like yeah, I'm fine (what with not having to go to work tomorrow and being able to afford random last minute hotels)

But other people might not have that as an option.
