ESPECIALLY the journalists with large followings who took tiny clips of the performance out of context and posted on their personal accounts, basically eliciting targeting and judgement of these women from hundreds of people

NOBODY in today's Australia should be harassed or made to feel unsafe for publicly practicing an art form, even if that art form is not to your taste, or even if you think their performance was somehow lacking.

And yes, posting disparaging comments where everyone can see them is shitty behaviour. It doesn't matter if you didn't aim it at the dance group, it's an internet, they will probably see it, and feel like shit.
