Me when I see something spelled in an unusual way: *google the word* These dudes: *go to the About section of the news website, find the public email address, fire off a snarky suggestion on "using spell check" complete with aspersions the reporter is bad at her job*

It's not just "oh oops looks like you have a typo there" It's "how is this writer your senior journalist, oh my god you people are SO unprofessional, learn to spell, you need to hire better editors, also I expect BETTER from a science website"

And all that for something that is not even a typo! They should all be banned from the internet for 24h for this nonsense. Wonder if there would be such a stench of misogyny about their emails if the byline had been that of a male journalist.
